Joint Pentecost Worship on May 19th, 10:30 AM at St. John’s Lutheran, Wilmette
Friends, We’ve changed to accepting “Kitchen Starter Packs” as donations. There is no longer a need for clothing but as many folks are moving out of shelters into unfurnished living quarters, there is a need for kitchen items. See the “Justice” tab for the Kitchen Starter Pack instructions. We will only be accepting donations on Thursdays, 9 am – Noon. Thank you for your generosity!

Immanuel Lutheran Church is a Reconciling in Christ congregation
We welcome people of every age and size, color and culture, every sexual orientation and gender identity, socio-economic status and marital status, every ability and challenge. We welcome believers and questioners, and questioning believers.
As a Reconciling In Christ (RIC) congregation, we make explicit our welcome to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. We are also a member congregation of the Chicago Coalition of Welcoming Churches. We believe that God works in and through all of us, and so we invite you to join with us in worshiping God and in doing the work God is calling us to do together in our communities and in our world.
Greetings from Pastor Mark Sloss
Welcome! Immanuel Lutheran Church is a vibrant Christian community where we gather to worship God and to serve our neighbor. We’re a place of warm hospitality, beautiful worship grounded in the ancient traditions of the church, amazing music, an openness to spiritual and intellectual questing and questioning, and a strong sense of social justice inspired by the Good News of Jesus. We believe and try to practice a “faith that feeds”—faith that feeds us spiritually, yes, but also a faith that leads us to feed others in physical ways, and to work for justice and peace. If you’re looking for a faith community in which to grow spiritually and to work together with others who are trying to follow the way of Jesus, we hope that you will come and experience community with us.
